      Volunteer Trail Care Program

      • The Friends of Kananaskis Country is committed to trail maintenance and new trail development. Providing opportunities for people to enjoy nature without compromising nature is of our up most concern. If you are a lover of the outdoors and care deeply for the preservation of our beautiful wilderness playground come out and lend a hand in keeping our trail system one to be proud of.

      • Type of work to expect
        • Pika Duty—Litter pick up, maintaining culverts and ditches, hand pruning and disposal, trail condition reporting
        • Elk Duty—Includes pika duties plus, small drainage ditching with hand tools, deadfall removal with hand tools, repair/replace signage
        • Grizzly Duty—Includes pika and elk duties plus trail surfacing, bridge repair, digging/clearing drainage ditches, large deadfall removal.
