High Rockies

June 24 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

We need your help to fine-tune some of the High Rockies Trail between Driftwood and the Three Sisters Dam. Some of the sections are rocky and could use material to smooth the tread.

Meeting time: 9:00am (9am –3pm)

Meeting location: Three Sister Dam

Google Maps Directions from Calgary

Number of people: 12/day

What to expect: The level of effort will be moderate to heavy and include filling wheelbarrows with gravel and racking out the material to smooth the trail in rocky sections. We will have 2 gas powered wheelbarrows and will also need people to haul wheelbarrows with material. We'll rotate jobs, so don't expect to wheelbarrow until your arms want to fall off!

What to bring: You'll need to wear hiking boots and bring work gloves (Friends of Kananaskis work gloves will be available), rain gear (hopefully not needed), along with your lunch, water, sunscreen, bug spray, bear spray, and other personal gear. All of the tools and equipment will be supplied.

Volunteer Agreement Form: All volunteers working on a Alberta Parks project need to fill out this Volunteer Agreement Form.

The form can be filled out once, and valid for the entire season by filling out the 'Termination of Agreement' section at the bottom of the form and adding date 'December 31, 2017'. To accelerate the paperwork process, print and fill out this form prior to the trail care day. Please present your completed form to the Friends of KC Crew Leader.
