Rawson Lake – Interpretive Sign Installation – Wed, Aug 23
August 23, 2017 @ 9:30 am - 3:00 pm
We continue to assist Parks with updating interpretive trail signs in K-Country. New signs were installed on Heart Creek Trail in 2016. Next to be installed are the 6 Rawson Lake Signs. This is a new trail to be included as a designated 'interpretive trail'.
Meeting time: 9:30am (9:30am – 3 pm)
Meeting location: Upper Kananaskis Lakes Day Use - by the Upper Kananaskis Lake trail head (that leads to Rawson Lake trail head)
Number of people: 5/day
What to expect: There will be a 60 - 90 minute hike to the sign locations that need to be installed. Part 1 of this project includes carrying tools and material to dig 5 holes (about 18 inches deep) and pour concrete. The level of effort will be moderate-hard.
SIGN UP HERE - Sign up closes at 12pm on the day prior to the event.
We offer ongoing thanks to the Calgary Foundation, TransAlta, Banff Canmore Community Foundation, Patagonia Elements Inc., Husky Energy as well as, Twenty4 Sports, and our many donors.
