What We Do

Connecting people and place in a meaningful way – this is what Friends of Kananaskis Country does.  We develop opportunities and programs for individuals and groups to experience Kananaskis Country through engagement and sharing.

We raise money to support relevant, practical, learning-based, enriching and fun initiatives that not only benefit the people involved, but benefit the ecology and ecosystems of Kananaskis Country.  Whether it is a group of high school students studying the impact of urban development on a river, or a group of employees from a large corporation maintaining a trail, the Friends of Kananaksis Country brings people together to ensure future generations have the same opportunities to enjoy this special part of Alberta.
